“Partnership will drive our future" says Corus VP at Connection Canada

Invited as a keynote speaker to Quebec, Corus’ Executive VP and Chief Technology Officer Scott Dyer gave his vision for the future of the animation business: "Consumers will lead the change and the power of partnership will become more and more important. In a new digital world, we compete globally. Don't go it alone in a new production! Cooperation meetings such as Cartoon Connection are essential for the success of your new properties." This outstanding speech has enlightened the opening of the 4th Cartoon Connection Canada, which brings together over 150 professionals in a warm atmosphere despite the first signs of winter in Quebec.

Five major European broadcasters explained what their animation policy is and the type of projects they are looking for: CANAL+, CBBC, France Télévisions, RAI and SuperRTL, who announced that they won’t be broadcasting Disney catalogue anymore.

Dinners in a cruise boat on the Saint-Laurent river or in a beautiful church-converted museumor and over 1000 one-to-one meetings will reinforce partnerships between Canada and Europe. A first contract between game company Frima and French-Belgian producer Dupuis will be signed in Quebec.
