Cartoon Forum 2017: Spotlight on Poland!

Cartoon Forum 2017: Spotlight on Poland!

For the second time, Cartoon Forum will be putting the spotlight on a specific country during the event: we are delighted to announce that Poland will be the country to receive this honour for our 2017 edition! We will pay tribute to the Polish animation industry with a host of events throughout the three days of Cartoon Forum.

As Cartoon Forum is now established in Toulouse (France - Occitanie, Pyrénées-Méditerranée) since 2012, it seemed to us right, each year, to put the spotlight on the animation of a “country of honour”, in order to keep the focus on the animation of a country, as was the case when the Cartoon Forum used to travel across Europe.

Polish animation is synonymous with artistic craftsmanship and mastery and over the years made its mark at international festivals. The animation industry in Poland has shown great potential for growth. More and More well-know in the animation world and on the on the strength of its five selected projects this year, Poland seemed to be the right choice for us this year.

Polish animation will appear as a constant thread throughout Cartoon Forum: you will discover all its vitality during each croissant show and at the end of each lunch. Poland will also invite all the participants in the Cartoon Forum to a original closing dinner and reception on Friday, 15 September. The event will include a lot of surprises in the colours of Poland.
