Cartoon d’Or 2009

David O'Reilly

Irish director David O’Reilly won the 2009 Cartoon d’Or Award for his innovative short film "Please Say Something". The Award Ceremony took place on 24th September in Stavanger (Norway) during the annual co-production event Cartoon Forum.

The other nominees were: "Aston’s Stones" by Uzi & Lotta Geffenblad (Sweden), "Madagascar, carnet de voyage" by Bastien Dubois (France), "Party Animals" by Merwan Chabane (France) and "Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death" by Nick Park (UK).

The 5 finalists were selected by the jury composed of directors Serge Elissalde (France), Tomm Moore (Ireland) and Kari Juusonen (Finland), among 29 short films that were singled out at one of our partner festivals.
