Co-directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud, "Persepolis" is based on Marjane’s autobiographical graphic novels about her childhood in Iran and her exile in Austria. Released in France in June 2007, the film has been widely acclaimed around the world. Honoured with the prestigious Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival 2007, "Persepolis" has also received numerous awards at many festivals and events (Los Angeles, New York, São Paulo, Vancouver, Rotterdam…). In addition, the movie counts more than 18 nominations, among others for an Oscar (Best Animated Feature Film 2008), 5 Césars and a Golden Globe (Best Foreign Language Film 2008).

Founded in Cannes in 2006 under the presidency of Robert Guédiguian, Europa Distribution is a European network of independent distributors, uniting approximately 60 distributors from 18 countries. Many of them regularly release animation films: A-Film Distribution, Arthaus, Cinéart-Cinélibre, Diaphana, Folkets Bio, Frenetic, Gebeka Films, Kino Świat, Mikado, Nordisk Film… just to mention a few. The association represents Europe’s geographic, linguistic and cultural diversity: 85% of the films awarded in Cannes, Venice and Berlin have been released over the last six years by members of the network. The aim of the organisation is to protect and represent independent distribution at national and European levels, to become the main spokesman with the authorities and to improve the ties and exchange of information between distributors.

Created in 1995 by Valerie Schermann and Christophe Jankovic, Prima Linea Productions is a subsidiary of Prima Linea, an agency representing a team of internationally known authors, illustrators, graphic artists... Prima Linea Productions aims at bringing into being the audiovisual projects of these creators. "Peur(s) du Noir" is a perfect illustration of the concept. The crazy and unusual project brings together ten first-rate visual and comic book artists exploring the multiple facets of fear, in turn terrifying, fantastic and humoristic. The film has been selected for many festivals, among others the Sundance Film Festival.
Other animated features produced by Prima Linea Productions include "U" (2006) and "Loulou et autres loups" (2003).
