Project selection.
On receipt of the Application Documents, a Selection Committee will examine them to make sure they conform to the Cartoon Forum regulations and decide whether they are admissible as a project in development (40’ business session).
Around 14 May 2008, producers will be informed of the Selection Committee’s decision, with a full explanation in the case of rejection.
The Selection Committee’s decision is final and no appeal will be considered.
06 JUNE 2008
Closing date for receiving the Producer Files (a CD-Rom PDF – format A4 – of Dossier A without the storyboard) for accepted projects.

CARTOON will put together all the Producer Files for the projects that have been selected and will send them as a DVD-Rom to all television channels, selected video distributors and financial partners taking part in the Cartoon Forum.

Closing date for receiving a visual of each project to be presented at the Cartoon Forum. Your visual should be a VERTICAL image and must contain the title of the project and the name of the production company.
Every year CARTOON organises a digital exhibition of all new projects. This digital exhibition will be located in the busiest part of the Cartoon Forum.

Television channels, video distributors and financial groups notify CARTOON which projects they are interested in.
CARTOON then informs the producers of the interests expressed in their projects by potential investors and, at the beginning of September, organises a presentation schedule for all projects, according to these interests.

Deadline for the reception of the trailer (30" to 45") which is obligatory for each project in development submitted to the Cartoon Forum. These trailers will be shown on mornings or afternoons at the Croissant and Coffee Shows.
The Beta tape (Digi or Beta SP – 16:9 – anamorph – no letterbox) of your trailer will not be sent back after the Cartoon Forum.

On 5 September, CARTOON will send you the meeting agenda. Please note that concerning the organisation of the agenda for the Business Sessions, CARTOON will not consider any special requests from the producers concerned. This agenda is closely linked to specific organisational constraints. We kindly ask you to accept the schedule you will be allocated by CARTOON.
