Participant registration
To register for the Magyar Cartoon Forum, please download the appropriate registration form in the column (specific form for producers with a project) and return it to CARTOON as soon as possible (hotel rooms will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis).
We recommend you to download the Guidelines where you will find much practical information including travel, accommodation, facilities, programme, registration details, etc. Producers will also find technical information about what they need to provide for their selected project.
Who can register?
- European producers whose project has been accepted by the Cartoon Forum Selection Committee
- European producers who presented a project last year in Norway
- Hungarian producers accepted as “observers”
- Investors, sales agents, distributors, broadcasters, new media representatives, gaming companies, TV, SACD authors…
There is a special rate for:

- Hungarian producers accepted as “observers”
- Authors presenting a project at Cartoon Forum and affiliated to the SACD (TBC)
Dates
- Tuesday 14 September: arrival of all participants and Welcome Dinner
- Wednesday 15 to Friday 17 September:
Cartoon Forum’s pitching sessions and Farewell Dinner
- Saturday 18 September: departure of all participants

Transport and accommodation
The closest airport to fly to is Vienna (Austria), located 65 km away from Sopron. CARTOON will be pleased to organise your journey and hotel reservation for you. Check the appropriate section for further information: accommodation (hotels description and prices) – travel.
Participation and subscription fees
The participation and subscription fees include the following:
- an accreditation badge, which allows you to participate fully in the Cartoon Forum
- the professional membership and administrative costs
- the presence of your company and its representatives in the Cartoon Forum catalogue
- the Cartoon d’Or evening
- all audiovisual equipment
- your hotel and flight reservation (reservation only)
- interpreter services
- a personal labelled pigeonhole
- an Internet Café
- a press centre
- shuttle buses services
- 2 sightseeing tours
For producers presenting a project:
- presentation of your project in front of all the potential buyers interested in your project
- the benefit of a consultant’s expertise who will act as a session chairperson during your pitching session
- screening of your trailer during the Croissant or Coffee Show in front of all participants
- Screening of your project’s visual in the Digital Exhibition
- the presentation of your project in the catalogue
As well as the following meals for all participants:
- Welcome Dinner on Tuesday 14 September
- Farewell Dinner on Friday 17 September
- 3 lunches
- 3 breakfasts served during the Croissant Shows
Accommodation and flight have to be paid extra. The amount will depend on your choice of hotel and on your city of origin.
Payment
Payment must be made in 2 installments:
- Participation and subscription fees must be paid upon receipt of the invoice
- Payment for travel and the hotel must be made upon receipt of the invoices and not later than 20 August 2010.
You can use 2 means of payment
- Credit card: Visa or Mastercard/Eurocard
- Bank transfer
Regulation
In case of change:
- Before 20 August 2010, changes must be communicated in writing to CARTOON.
- After 20 August 2010, changes must be notified in writing to CARTOON and there will be additional administrative expenses of 25 EUR.
If an air ticket has been issued, it cannot be changed or reimbursed.
In case of cancellation
- For cancellations made in writing before 20 August 2010, participants won’t be refunded the sum of 300 EUR.
- For cancellations made in writing after 20 August 2010, participants will remain liable for payment of the participation and subscription fee and the hotel costs.
If an air ticket has been issued, it cannot be changed or reimbursed.

When registering for Cartoon Forum, the participants acknowledge and undertake to respect all regulations stipulated above.
