Project Submission

Producers wishing to submit a European animated TV project must send the required application documents by 28 April 2010.

Please note:

  • only European producers whose registered office is located in a country associated with the MEDIA Programme can present a project.
  • Only one project per company may be submitted.

Cartoon Movie has its own distinctive space and procedures. Producers attending for the first time are advised to carefully read the vade-mecum (to be downloaded on the right-side column).

Deadline to submit the Application Documents

Projects selection

A European Selection Committee will examine the Application Documents to make sure they conform to the Cartoon Forum regulations and decide whether the projects are admissible. Producers will be informed of the Selection Committee’s decision around that date. This decision will be final and no appeal will be considered.

JUNE

Deadline to submit the Final Producer File
(only for accepted projects)

11 JUNE

Sending Producer Files to investors

CARTOON will put together all the Producer Files of the projects that have been selected and will send them as a DVD-Rom to all television channels, selected video distributors and financial partners taking part in the Cartoon Forum.

25 JUNE

Deadline to send us a visual of your project for the Digital Exhibition

Your visual should be a VERTICAL image (format: 9:16 vertical - pixels: 768 x 1360, .jpg, .tif or .pdf) and must contain the title of the project and the name of the production company.

The poster of each selected project will be showcased on flat screens to form a digital exhibition in the busiest part of the Forum.

List of investors’ interests

Having read the various Producer Files, television channels, video distributors and financial groups notify CARTOON which projects they are interested in. CARTOON will then inform producers of the interests expressed in their projects and, early September, will organise the schedule of the projects presentations, according to these interests.

20 AUGUST

Deadline for receiving the trailer (30 to 45 seconds)

Format: 16:9 / anamorphic / NO letterbox / on Digibeta.

These trailers are compulsory for all submitted projects. They will be shown to all participants during the Croissant and Coffee Shows.

The Beta tape will not be sent back after the Cartoon Forum.

SEPTEMBER

Schedule of the projects presentations

CARTOON will send you the date and time of your presentation. Please note that we will not consider any special requests from producers as this schedule is closely linked to specific organisational constraints. We kindly ask you to accept the slot you will be allocated.

14 - 17 SEPTEMBER
